Shri Satguru Gajanan Maharaj

Shri Gajanan Maharaj the incarnation Parabrahma made his first appearance as young boy in Sheagoan a village in Bhuldhana district in Maharastra on 23rd February 1878. The Sheagoan has become a place of holiness with the remarkable presence of Shri Gajanan Maharaj. This holy place is now known as “ Vaikund”( the paradise of Lord Vishnu). He used to lie anywhere, eat anything, wear any piece of cloth or move naked. He used to chant “Gana Gana Gananth Bothey”, and that is why he came to be known as Gajanan Maharaj. Devotees often feel peaceful in his presence.Shri Gajanan Maharaj entered to Mahasamadhi on 8th September 1910 at 8am, when large crowds were chanting Gods name. A Samadhi temple was erected at Sheagoan, which still attracts thousands of people all over the world.
